Terms of service
Last updated 2026-11-03.
Template. Review with a lawyer.
These terms apply to this website and to the estimating services of Tallmason, Inc. (“we”). A signed proposal or contract for a project takes priority over these terms.
Our services
We prepare quantity takeoffs, material takeoffs and cost estimates from the drawings and documents that you give us. We agree the scope, price and delivery date in writing before we start.
Your responsibilities
- Send complete and current drawings and specifications.
- Make sure that you have the right to share the documents with us.
- Review each estimate before you use it in a bid or a contract.
Estimates are not guarantees
An estimate is a professional opinion of quantity and cost on a given date. Market prices, site conditions, drawing errors and scope changes can make actual costs different. You decide the final bid price and you are responsible for it. We are not responsible for a lost bid or for the cost difference on a project.
Payment
We send an invoice for each project or each month, as the proposal states. Payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date unless the proposal states a different term.
Confidentiality
We keep your documents and pricing confidential. We use them only for your project. We sign your NDA on request.
Ownership
After you pay the invoice, you own the estimate deliverables for your project. We keep the right to use our general methods, templates and cost data on other projects.
Limit of liability
To the extent that the law permits, our total liability for a project is limited to the fee that you paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit.
